Les Gets, 25 minutes

Golf open in season.  Lakeside swimming areas.  Pony trekking. Chairlifts open for mountain bikers and walkers.  Deval Kart great for the kids.  Take the drag lift up with your kart and steer it back down.  Museum of mechanical music.  Shops, restaurants and bars.  A lively ski resort but just as lively in summer.

Evian

Ferries run to Laussane and Geneva and other lakeside towns.  Long lakeside promenade.  Mini Golf.  Evian plage centre nautique, 2 heated swimming pools and lake swimming area.  Excellent value for a day out..  Sailing and windsurfing on the lake.  Restaurants and shops.

City de l'eau  covered swimming pool, diving pool and wave machine.  Mini golf.

Le Bouveret on the Swiss border  50 minute drive.

Large waterpark with indoor pools and slides and an outdoor area.  Swiss Vapeur Park - amusement park devoted to railways and mini trains, rides on the trains.
